Husband/Wife of: late Robert R. Sheets (June 20, 2005)beloved husband of 55 years until his passing. They had travelled extensively after retirement touring Micronesia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe and most of the 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Occupation: Mrs. Sheets was an elementary school teacher in New Jersey for 33 years, having retired from the Mansfield Elementary School in 1989. She previously taught in the Stanhope, Byram and Allamuchy school districts

Additional Information:  She was a member of the Tranquility Methodist Church where she and her husband were married in 1949. She graduated from North East High School, North East, PA in 1945 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1949. She later earned a Master of Education Degree (M.Ed.) from Rutgers University. Gladys was an avid gardener her entire life. She always had several gardens and was awarded numerous blue ribbons for county and state fair entries each year. She was involved with the 4-H Club program, leading several garden clubs. She was a Supervisor for the Warren County Soil Conservation District for 25 years. She focused on the Education end of the District's program, judging essay contests as well as developing educational materials for youth.
