Veteran Info: Served in the United States Army-Airforce during WW II and first as part of the C.A.C.W. and later with the 1st Air Commandos; he was also a member of the Rhode Island National Guard

Additional Information:  He was a graduate of Bryant College (now known as Bryant University), Smithfield, RI and received his B.A. in 1948. Mr. Colwell was a participant in the Glocester, Rhode Island parade that took place after WW II; he was active and an avid golfer at the Panther Valley Country Club; member of the Harmony Lodge F. & A.M. in Chepachet, RI; former member of the American Legion, Post # 30, Glocester, RI and received his 50th Anniversary Medal from the American Legion.
