Occupation: Sterling was the owner/operator of Sterling Reed Co. He also worked for Trimmer Road Co. of Lebanon Township, NJ as a contractor for many years.

Veteran Info: Sterling served in the United States Marines and was stationed in Guam. He was discharged as a SGT. and received the Silver Star for bravery.

Additional Information:  He was a member of the Highlands Presbyterian Church, Schooley's Mtn., NJ; member of the Hackettstown American Legion, Hackettstown, NJ and a member of AA for 51 years. Sterling was the first Chief of the Schooley's Mountain Firehouse
