Occupation: Mr. Hill retired in 1972 as a Supervisor from the former Lackawanna Leather Company, Hackettstown, NJ; he also worked for Williams & Hibler of Hackettstown and the Cochran Funeral Home where he retired in 2006.

Veteran Info: He served in WW II with the United States Army in the 407th Infantry Regiment, 102nd Division where he received a Silver Star, Combant Infantry badge.

Additional Information:  Mr. Hill served on the Hackettstown Common Council (1948-1953); former member of Blue Ridge Post # 164 in Hackettstown and served as Commander in 1947; member of Independence Lodege # 42 F & AM-Received Grand Masters White Apron Award in 1992; life member and past officer of Warren Co. Forest # 14 T.C.L; Aide to Supreme Tall Cedar in 1983; life member and past officer of the Warren Co. Rangers T.C.L.; Member A.A.S.R. Valley of Trenton, Trenton, NJ; member and past President of the Scottish Rite Club of Northwest, NJ; Honorary member of Cataract Hose Co # 1 of Hackettstown Fire Dept. since 1953. He was a Hackettstown High School graduate, class of 1936.

Visitation: Thursday, December 11, 2008, 2-4 and 7-9 PM with Masonic Services at 7:30 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
