Robert T. MacLachlan, 65 , died  06/18/06 in  Clarence W. Sickles Health Care Center, Heath Village, Washington Township (Morris Co.) NJ.  Robert lived in  Liberty Township (Great Meadows) NJ and was born in Montclair, NJ on 10/01/40.

Occupation: He retired as a Detective from the Millburn Police Department after 28 years and had been President of the PBA. He also was the Court Administrator with Washington Township (Morris Co.) NJ and formerly Hackettstown, NJ. He also worked for Liberty Mututal as an Investigator.

Veteran Info: Served in the US Navy (1959-1963) and was a plane captain in VF33 aboard the USS Intrepid, now a museum in New York City. He belonged to the Former Crew Members Association and had been editor of their newsletter, "The Ketcher".

Additional Information:  Attended Watchung, George Inness and graduated in 1959 from Montclair High School. As a Boy Scout in Troop #12, he attended Camp Glen Gray and was a Life Scout. Member of the Millburn American Legion Post #140 and Bicentennial Commander, County Vice-Commander, Chef De Gar Passe, and a member of VFW Post #7683 in Springfield, NJ; Also a member of Essex County Forty and Eight Voiture Locale #127. His interests included family, steam trains, boating, traveling the western United States and reading Zane Grey novels. He was loved and admired by all who knew him.
