Frances Z. Duncan, 86 , died  September 10, 2009 in  her home peacefuly from this earth, surrounded lovingly by family and friends.  Frances lived in  Hackettstown area all of her life and was born in Hackettstown, N.J. on January 30, 1923.

Husband/Wife of: the late John Duncan who died in 1994

Son/Daughter of: the late Raymond & Eleanor Crane Zellars

Survived By: Frances is preceeded in death by her husband - John Duncan and son Bruce. She is survived by 1 son - Andrew Duncan - May's Landing, N.J.
1 daughter Pamela Doughtery - Hackettstown, N.J.
1 Brother - Theodore C. Zellars - Allamuchy, N.J. and 2 Granddaughters Andrea & Amanda Brown whom she cherished. Special thanks goes out to all the special people who helped Frances through the difficult stages towards the end; especially Lolita, whom Frances always looked for. Frances will be greatly missed by all.

Occupation: Frances was a kindergarten teacher in the Hackettstown school system for many years. She positively influenced countless children over that time as was evident in all the random meetings over the years of now grown former students. Amazingly she seldom failed to remember them by name and class!

Additional Information:  Frances was very fortunate to have had a lifelong group of friends who formed a bridge club years ago. They shared all the ups and downs, triumphs and failures and countless laughs that such a long standing friendship brings. She was a member of the Hackettstown First Presbyterian Church where she previously served as a Deacon. In earlier years, Frances served as a Girl Scout Leader in Hackettstown
