Occupation: He worked as a sales representative for Drake's Bakeries and Kline Brothers before becoming an employee for M & M Mars where he worked in the Research and Development Department for several years before retiring in 1975. Lester was one of the local men who joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C Camp) located on Willow Grove Street in Hackettstown during the 1930's.
Veteran Info: As an Army rifleman, Lester received the Purple Heart for being wounded in action, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal while serving our country during WW II.
Additional Information: He was a life member of the Vigilant H & L Co. No 1 Hackettstown Fire Department. Lester loved playing golf, watching sports on TV and was happy when visiting and living in FLorida when he was well enough to drive.
