Carolyn R. Hofmann, age 79, of Independence Township died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. Carolyn Hofmann was born November 12, 1932 in Pottsville, PA. She is the daughter of the late Samuel and the late Theresa (Trabosh) Julian. In addition to her parents Carolyn is predeceased by a brother Anthony Julian and a sister Anna Ukele. She was married to James G. Hofmann for the past 53 years.

She was employed by M & M Mars, Hackettstown, NJ as an Accounts Payable Clerk for many years. Carolyn loved her family most especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: James G. Hofmann, Independence Township, NJ: 2 daughters; Elizabeth Leyden and husband Michael of Hackettstown, NJ, Theresa Hofmann and companion Francis Orabono of Manasquan, NJ: 2 sons; James Hofmann and partner Joseph Nigliazzo of Boise, ID and David Hofmann and wife Susan of Pottstown, PA; 2 sisters, Virginia Borrelli and husband Vincent of Johnston, RI and Mary Ventresca of Pottsville, PA; 8 Grandchildren; Luke, Gabrielle, Hannah, Emily, Kayla, Cameron, Corrine and Joy.

A funeral Mass will be held at the Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley, NJ at 10:30 am on Wednesday April 18, 2012. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Mountain Cemetery following the funeral mass. Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 7-9 pm.
