 Margaret “Meg” Bottei, age 81, of Hackettstown, formerly of England died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Kindred Hospital at St. Claire’s, Dover, NJ.  Margaret was born August 1, 1937 in Dover Kent, England. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Fuller) Toomer.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Louis Bottei who passed away in February 2003. 

Meg was previously employed for 22 years by Chase Bank, Hackettstown NJ previously known as United Jersey Bank as a Platform Assistant.  She was a member of a local knitting group, she was a superb 1st class knitter and seamstress.  Meg created countless outfits and baby blankets, in addition she knitted 50 teddy bears for the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital to bring smiles to children with cancer.  In addition, she was an avid reader, loved to shop and while in England was a Secretary in Her Majesty’s Government.

She is survived by many friends most especially her devoted and faithful friends,   Marion Breitenkan, Linda Banfield and Diane Sabato.  Meg was known as “Nana Meg” to Diane and her family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 from 11 am – 1 pm.

Burial is private in Old Forge, PA
