Mary Kate Lee, age 96, of Hackettstown died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at home after a long illness. Mary Kate was born July 30, 1922 in Berwyn, OK. She is the daughter of the late James and Ila (Smith) Cowen. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester W. Lee. She and her husband were the owners of Leeter, Inc. men’s and women’s clothes for fifty years in Hackettstown.
She is survived by 2 sons, Charles M. Lee and James D. Lee, one daughter, Lorraine Hoskins,
8 grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, one Step Great Grandchild, and one Niece, Suzanne Britten.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 with Rev. Birda Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery, Washington, NJ.

Dear Charles & Family,
I am so saddened to hear of Mary Kate's passing. She was the epitome of a lady, full of happiness, with a smile for everyone she met and an impeccable sense of style. A true classic. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I will personally miss her greatly. I don't think I have ever met a woman who truly embodied the definition of a lady like Mary Kate did. I eill always remember her smile and she will always be a source of inspiration for me.

We are sending our deepest sympathy and many condolences for your loss. Mary Kate was a lot of fun! I only had the chance to meet her on several occasions when she traveled to IL. Some years, she was able to come to our ladies' Christmas lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed her company! May all the great memories you have with her sustain you during this difficult time.
