Robert Thomas Gall
Died: May 5, 2017
He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and became a Jersey City firefighter in 1958 and married Carol in 1959. In 1968, Bob additionally took on real estate development and opened an office in Mount Olive Township.
For the next three decades he bought and sold property and became a residential developer. The first home he built was in Netcong, NJ then 2 on Old Township Road in Flanders, NJ, 1 on Elizabeth Lane in Budd Lake, NJ before partnering with Sanitation Construction to demolish the White Birch cottages on Netcong Road in Budd Lake. Together they built six more beautiful homes in their place.
Bob retired of JCFD in 1991 after 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army and a Fourth Degree Knight of Knights of Columbus, Assembly #1562 of Netcong, NJ.
Bob is survived by Carol, his devoted wife of 57 years, his sister; Dianne Meehan, his brother John Gall, his three daughters; Anne-Marie, Jennifer, and Robyn, his son- in- law, Anthony Di Bernard and three grandchildren; Bryan, Breanne and Brendan. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a Knights of Columbus service starting at 7:30pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Cochran Fuenral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday May 11, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Secton Parish Burial will be private at family’s request.
