Janice M Stephenson, age 78, a resident of Long Valley, NJ since 1969 died Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Dover, NJ. Janice was born September 27, 1935 in Montclair, NJ. She is the daughter of the late John W. and Victoria (Sobroski) McCambley. Janice was predeceased by her husband, Robert Donald Stephenson on September 4, 2006 and her sister Theodora Toth.
She was employed by Washington Township as an Assistant Treasurer for many years and was a member of Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley.
She is survived by 1 son; Donald Stephenson and his wife Sandra, 1 daughter; Patricia Gilbert and her husband Paul; 4 grandchildren, Shawn Stephenson, Stacey Gilbert, Sarah Gilbert, Samantha Gilbert and 1 great granddaughter, Lillie Jeffcoat.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 am Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Frank Fowler officiating. Burial will be in German Valley Rural Cemetery, Long Valley following services.
Calling hours will be on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 4-8 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 W. Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801 in memory of Janice.

Hi Don and Patty: So very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She is in our prayers and she is now together with your father. Your parents were my parent's neighbors for a long time and they had many nice times together. Please know that you have our heartfelt condolences.

Don, Patty and family: So many fond memories of our families getting together, with at least one Stephenson making us all laugh. Mom said Dad was her best friend. They are together at last and I hope that the number one comedian in the family is making Mom laugh once again.
