Mrs. Flynn has lived in the Hackettstown area for the past seven years coming from Pine Brook where she and her late husband, Joseph Flynn, raised their family. Jean enjoyed living in Hackettstown where she and her friends would regularly gather in the neighborhood gazebo sharing stories, playing cards and laughter. Always active in her community, Jean was a former member of the Pine Brook Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and bowled in various leagues with her late husband, Joseph. In Hackettstown and formerly Montville, NJ, Jean was active in the local Senior Nutrition Center and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hackettstown, NJ.
Mrs. Flynn is survived by her son, Patrick Flynn of Mansfield Twp., NJ; a daughter, Cindy Reynolds and her husband Glenn of Hackettstown. Six devoted Grandchildren and five loving Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter in law, Dawn Flynn in 2011 and was the last surviving sibling of six brothers & sisters. Ultimately, Jean had no “friends” as she thought of and treated everyone around her as family…
Viewing hours will be on Monday, 9-8-14 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 216 Main St. in Hackettstown. There is ample parking in the back of the church. Following services burial will be in the Montville Reform Church Cemetery, Montville, NJ.
