Helen Bond died April 19, 2012 in the House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, N.J. She was 93 years old. Helen lived in Hackettstown, NJ since moving from Long Valley, NJ in 2010.

Helen was born in Red Bank, NJ on April 10, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline Amelchenko. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1937, she embarked on what would be a 34 year career in the insurance industry as a Claims Analyst and manager at Royal Globe and the Home Insurance Company. After living in Brooklyn, NY for 25 years, she and her husband returned to New Jersey in 1954 to raise their family, while Helen continued her career in Manhattan. Helen prided herself on being a hard worker both in the office and at home, but took time to relax with her husband and daughter fishing and boating.

Helen retired at age 65 in 1984 and later moved to Meshoppen, PA. After the death of her husband, Victor, Helen moved to New Jersey to live with her daughter and family.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Kristine and her husband, Peter Kipe, Long Valley, NJ. Also survived by her granddaughters, Jennifer and her husband George Moore and Erin and her husband Carl Klemme, two great-grandsons, Andrew and Kevin Moore.

In accordance with Helen's wishes, her life will be celebrated privately by a gathering of her closest family and friends.
