James A. Gatto, age 42, of Belvidere, NJ, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Cancer Treatment Centers Of America in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Gatto was born September 22, 1970 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of Eileen (Napolitano) Gatto and the late Frank Gatto. He married Allyson Chase.
He was employed by Elevator Union Local #1, New York, NY as an Elevator Constructor.
James enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Allyson(Chase) Gatto; Son, Frank James Gatto; 3 Daughters, Lianna Alyse Gatto, Kayla Marie Gatto, Samantha Nicole Gatto; his Mother, Eileen (Napolitano) Gatto; and Sister Donna Gatto. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 17 at Sts. Peter And Paul R.C. Church, 360 US Hwy 46, Great Meadows, New Jersey. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows on Wednesday, July 17.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 16 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey.

I met Allyson and James 16 years ago. James was the strong almost silent type who loved his family very much. I always enjoyed being in the company of him and eating his wonderful cooking. He will be missed by all.Gatto Family stay as strong as you can and Bless you all.
