Joan D. Sturtevant, 61, of Mansfield Township, NJ died at her residence. Born in Paterson, NJ on November 21, 1951, daughter of the late Oscar and Mildred E. (Rullo) Kimmel. Wife of 34 years to Douglas E. Sturtevant at home.

Joan was a self employed Artist. She enjoyed Facebook and Art groups. Joan lived in Mansfield Township, NJ for 37 years coming from Budd Lake, NJ

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Douglas Sturtevant, Hackettstown, NJ; daughter, Vanessa Sturtevant, Hackettstown, NJ; sister, Patricia D'Arcangelo, Fair Lawn, NJ; two grandchildren, Alice Sturtevant and Sky Evans.

Services and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.

Joan's creativity and kindness will never be forgotten! She was a true artist, her style was her own, unique, quirky and delightful. I am so sorry we have lost her so soon. Please accept my sympathies.
