James Bunting, age 84, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. James lived in the Hackettstown area for the past 13 years coming from Verona, NJ and was born July 22, 1927 in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late James and the late Eleanor (Oliver) Bunting.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 09/13/1944 to 6/28/1946, honorably discharged as a Seaman 1st Class. He was employed by Tung-Sol, Bloomfield, NJ as a Foreman and retired after 30 years of service to the company. Jim was also the owner of the Waterhole Bar, Bloomfield, NJ retiring many years ago.

Jim was a member of the Bloomfield Elks Lodge and the V.F.W. of Cedar Grove, NJ and also attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Essex Fells, NJ.

He is survived by his wife: Rose Marie(Croce) Bunting, his daughter Sandra Bunting, his son James & wife Catherine Bunting, 2 Grandchildren, Ryan And Chelsy.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 10 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Stephanie Weathered officiating. Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 9 from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.
