JAMES MITCHELL FOWLER January 24th, 2017 Jim Fowler, formerly of Hackettstown, died at his home in Vermillion, Ohio on January 24th. He was 78. He was born on November 3rd, 1938 in Jamaica, New York.  A graduate of Hackettstown High School in 1956, he was a veteran of the US Marines. He worked as a self employed manufacturers representative for the lighting design industry. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 22, Past Commodore of the Vermillion Boat Club, and the Illuminating Engineering Society. He enjoyed woodworking, bass fishing and golfing. Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years Pauline ( nee Probert) Fowler of Vermillion, daughters Kelley Dole, Nancy Billings and Dianne Chadwick all of New Hampshire, step sons Douglas Sargent of Cleveland and Michael ( Lisa ) Sargent of Charleston SC; step daughters Lisa ( James ) Heath of Euclid and Laurie Moore of Chicago. Also 11 grandchildren, a sister Barbara Miller of Lafayette NJ and a brother Frank Fowler of Hackettstown. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Betty ( nee Mitchell ) Fowler. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church, 213 Main St. Hackettstown on Saturday March 25th at 11:00 am. All are welcome. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, Northwest Ohio, 1701 Woodlands Drive, Suite 200, Maumee OH, 43537.

Pastor Frank and Family Robin and I were saddened to read of the Home going of your Brother James, and have no words that can comfort. Please know you and the Family are in our thoughts and Prayers as we appeal to our FATHER in Heaven in Christ Jesus our LORD to comfort you all as HE alone can.
