Carolyn  Mulvihill

 Carolyn Mulvihill, age 78, of Hackettstown died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.  Carolyn was born April 22, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA. She is the daughter of the late Wilbur and Louise (Weigold) Hickey.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Mulvihill in 2015.  In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by 1 brother; Ronald Hickey and a sister; Patricia Pollock.

She was employed by Hackettstown Police Department, Hackettstown NJ as a Crossing Guard. 

Carolyn was a graduate of Netcong High School and was a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son; Robert, Jr. and wife Shannon, a daughter: Michele “Shelly” Eckhardt and husband Peter 3 grandchildren, Carly, Kaitlin and Nicholas, 3 brothers; Steven Hickey and wife Marita, Robert Hickey and wife Linda, Lawrence Hickey and wife Donna, a sister in law; Debbie Hickey and a brother in law; John Pollock and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, May 23 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father David Pekola officiating.  Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown following services.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 22 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad, PO Box 201, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 in memory of Carolyn.

Shelly so sorry about your mom. We drove to work on my very first job and she was a big part of my life as I started my career. She was such a nice person and will be missed. Bonnie & Jack Segada

So Sorry to hear that your Mom has passed Shelly. We were good friends back in the day when we were both Crossing guards, and when I did her nails at my Salon we all had great girl fun & 'Coffee Clotch' Conversations! She was a Great Lady! Will always Remember the good times we had! Condolences to you and ALL of your Family as I share the pain of your loss! Rest be assured she is enveloped by the Abiding Peace and Unconditional Love of the Father and is Content Forevermore! Till we all are called Home and reunited, our Memories will sustain us!
