Louis Malavarca, age 89, of Hackettstown, NJ, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Heath Village of Hackettstown, NJ. Mr. Malavarca was born June 6, 1923 in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late Amadeo and the late Nicoletta (Deceasar) Malavarca. He was married to the late Mary (Bell) Malavarca. In addition Louis is predeceased by his sister; Carmela, his daughter in law; Janet and his brother in law Nick. 

Louis proudly served in the US Army during WWII, he landed on Normany Beach "D" day on his 21th birthday.  He was the Owner/Operator of Gemini Reality for many years. Mr. Malavarca was a member of Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley, NJ, was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Junior Essex Troop, West Orange, NJ.  Louis also served das the State Chairmen of the Republican Party. He enjoyed bowling and was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter; Joni Cowles and husband KC, his 2 sons; Richard Malavarca and wife Catherine, Steven Malavarca; a sister; Yolanda Caputo, 2 brothers; Ed Malavarca and wife Catherine, Ralph Malavarca and wife Helen; 4 grandchildren; Lucas, Samantha, Jenna and Evan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5 from 10 am to 12 Noon at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 East Springtown Road, Long Valley,NJ 07853 in memory of Louis.
