Dumitru Manea, age 67, of Hackettstown, NJ died Friday, September 16, 2016 at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Newton, NJ. Dumitru was born October 15, 1948 in Romania. He is the son of the late Viorica Manea.
He was previously employed as a Test Technician for St. Jude Medical, Hackettstown, NJ. Dumitru was a jack of all trades, he renovated his home, made furniture and could fix or learn to fix almost anything. He loved life and enjoyed joking with his friends and family, having fun with people made him happy. In addition, he was an avid world history buff, enjoyed opera music and all types of literature.
He is survived by his loving wife: Dorina (Stancescu) Manea, 2 devoted sons; Florin Manea, Adrian Manea and 1 granddaughter; Sabina.
Cremation was private. A burial of ashes will be held at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown on Saturday, October 15th at 1 pm.
