Vincent DiMaio, 73, of Hackettstown, N.J. died on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, N.J..
Born on 02/04/1939 in Phillipsburg, N.J., "Vinny" has lived in the Hackettstown & Independence Twp. area all of his life.  He worked in construction with his brothers, "DiMaio Bros. Construction" for 41 yrs. and was a member of Building Construction Laborers Union,  Local #3 of  North Jersey.
Vincent graduated from Central School, Great Meadows, N.J. and attended Hackettstown High School. He served our country from 1956 to 1959 in Co. "B", 3rd Medium Tank Batalion, 50th Armored Div., N.J. National Guard.  He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, N.J. and enjoyed staying informed about world news and current events as well as playing the lottery.
Vincent is survived by two brothers, Alphonse & his wife Shirley DiMaio and Gerald & his wife Linda DiMaio, both of Hackettstown, N.J. and many Nieces & Nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Andrew & Samuel and sisters Angelina Jewell & Marie Masker.
Visitation will be on Mon., 7-30-12 from 4-8pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.  Services will be Tues. 7-31-12, 11:00am at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, N.J.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Willow Grove St. Hackettstown, N.J. 07840
