Virginia Ann Nalls, 89 of Hackettstown, NJ, formally of Fredrick, MD died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the House of Good Shepherd. She was born in Washington, DC on January 11, 1924 to the late Laurence I. and Verna J. (Cork) Nalls.

Virginia was a Counselor for Atlantic Community College of Mays Landing, NJ before retiring many years ago. Previously she had been employed by the Long Branch School District as an English Teacher, the Collier School as a Counselor, The Brookdale College Woman’s Center and the Woman’s Resource and Survival Center of Keyport. She was an avid reader and a fantastic cook. Virginia frequently donated to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the American Kidney foundation she was a member of the NAACP and the Fredrick Senior Citizens.

Virginia is survived by her daughter; Karen Luce and husband Henry, her 2 sons; Stephen Ruzicka and wife Molly and Paul Ruzicka and wife Melissa, 6 grandchildren; Paul and Steve Luce, Matthew Morgan, Jade, Janay and Laura Ruzicka. She also leaves behind her beloved cat “Daisy”.

Funeral arrangements are private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
