Robert J. Mulvihill, Sr., 78, of Hackettstown, NJ, died at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 7, 2015. A lifelong resident of the area, Robert was born October 23, 1936 in Hackettstown and was the son of the late Arthur & Helen Burk Mulvihill.
Mr. Mulvihill retired from Hillwick Inc. of Hackettstown and was co-founder of the freight hauling corporation which his son, Robert J. Mulvihill, Jr. continues to own and operate. He was a graduate of Hackettstown High School, class of ’55. Years ago, Bob served as president of the Tri-County Motorcycle Club.  His passion for Motorcycles and Hotrods was a lifelong endeavor that he and his son Bob pursued together.

Mr. Mulvihill is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn L. Hickey Mulvihill; One son, Robert J. Mulvihill, Jr. and his wife Shannon of Mansfield Twp.;  One daughter, Shelly Eckhardt and her husband Peter of Hackettstown. Three beautiful grandchildren, Carly, Kate & Nick.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ from 4 to 8pm. The funeral service will be Friday, February 13, 2015 at the funeral home beginning at 10:30am. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ. Those considering a donation in lieu of flowers are asked to please consider the Hackettstown Rescue Squad, Maple Ave., Hackettstown, NJ.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cochranfuneral.com.
