Elinor P. Bleach, 88 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Heath Village in Hackettstown. Born March 25, 1928 in Bayonne, NJ, Elinor was the daughter of the late Jacob & Anna Kos.
Elinor has lived in the greater Hackettstown area for the past 8 years coming from Roselle, NJ. She retired many years ago as an executive secretary for the NBC Director of Continuity Acceptance in New York City. In addition to her former employment, Elinor was a 1945 graduate of Bayonne High School; member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #3947 ladies auxiliary in Roselle, NJ. Lastly, Elinor was a talented singer and entertainer having been associated with several bands.
Elinor is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Gavin and her husband Francis of Hackettstown, NJ. Three beautiful grandchildren, Johanna, Owen and Clare. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael who died in 2005.
A 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Andover, NJ. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the mass at the church. Interment will be in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Andover, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
