Annabelle Marjorie Jones, 85 of Long Valley, NJ passed away at the home of her daughter, Bernice Mea in Washington Twp, NJ. Born March 26, 1931 in Bushkill Twp, PA, Annabelle was the daughter of the late Aaron & Bernice Phillips Bush.
Annabelle lived in Long Valley for most of her adult life with her beloved late husband, George Jones, Jr. Together, they lived an active life within the community. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Long Valley Presbyterian Church where she previously served as a Deacon and was instrumental in establishing the church food pantry. She also served the community as the first woman special police officer in Long Valley. In addition, she and her husband, George loved to entertain friends, play golf, attend concerts and travel the world together.
Annabelle is survived by a daughter, Bernice Mea; Son-in-law, George Journey and her beloved grandson, Nicholas Mea. She was predeceased by three brothers, George P. Bush, James W. Bush & William J. Bush and a sister, Frances Walters.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Long Valley First Presbyterian Church 39 Bartley Road Long Valley, NJ 07853 on Saturday September 24, 2016 with Pastor Aaron Nagel officiating.
