Mae, was not only a colleague, she was a friend. When you walked through the doors of Colonial Manor, she greeted you with a smile and warmth that made you feel welcome. She cared for all. When Colonial Manor had events, Mae loved to dance; she made the residence come alive. Last year Isabell and Jackson the owners of Colonial Manor where Mae was employed, allowed us to photograph our wedding on their beautiful grounds; Mae embraced us with her grace, elegance, and warmth and in our video we were gifted to have Mae walked us into our new life. She was part of the family at Colonial Manor. Even though I am no longer an employee at Colonial Manor, I feel the tremendous loss. We all loved you Mae. Gloria & Jim

Meta Maloney (Mae) was our partnership of Budd Travel of Hackettstown since 1969 (until its closing in 2010). That was 41 years of travel service in Hackettstown and actually 80 for Budd Travel of Newton (since 1930). Mae was completely in charge of Budd Travel of Hackettstown and with "Mom" and many associates she was "telling clients where to go". A wonderful angel (now along with Dottie and her Mom and Dad) is in heaven. God Bless You!

Mae, or Meta as she was known to some, was a gem of a human being. She ran a top notch travel agency for many years at 120 Main Street, Hackettstown. But more important, she was a smart, kind, optimistic, and compassionate woman who made those around her better. She served the community well as a member of the Hackettstown Rotary Club, the Hackettstown Trade Association and other groups along the way. She was a love. And she'll be missed by many.
