Kerry J. Lucas, age 62, of Independence Twp., N.J., formerly of Parsippany, N.J., passed away with friends by his side while enjoying a round of golf, Wednesday, June 20,2012. Kerry was born October 29, 1949 in Morristown, N.J.. He is the son of the late Stanley & Lucy (Peterson) Lucas. He is survived by his wife Deborah (Ameling) Lucas. He was employed by Cigna as a Technical Support Senior Specialist.
Kerry, an avid bowler with a passion for golf, was a member of the P.B.A. (Pro Bowling Association), member of the U.S.G.A. and an associate member of Harkers Hollow Golf Club. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Siena, his son-in-law and best friend, Michael Siena, and a grandbaby-to-be of Liberty Twp.; son, Jordan, and daughter-in-law Gini Lucas of Charleston SC; a brother, Carl Lucas of AZ; and sister-in-law, Marian Happ, of El Cajon, CA. He is predeceased by his brothers Paul and Doug Lucas, sister Elsa (Lucas) McLaughlin, brother-in-law, Donald Crum, and his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Nola Ameling.
Kerry will always be loved and forever remembered. His endless generosity and uplifting spirit will remain in our hearts for eternity. He will forever remain our husband, father, grandpa, brother and best friend.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.
There will be a private funeral service.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691.
