Margaret Mary Hoffmann, age 92, of Frelinghuysen Township, NJ died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Forest Manor Health Care Center, Frelinghuysen Twp., NJ Margaret was born January 27, 1920 in York, PA. She is the daughter of the late Robert Lord and Margaret (Dalton) Loucks. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, George Anthony Hoffman, M.D.
She graduated from St. Vincent Hospital Nursing School and received her B.S. from Mary Mount College in NY. She was a Registered Nurse and was employed by Dependable Healthcare, Flanders, NJ from 1980-1992.
Margaret was the mother of 7-3 of her own children and 4 she raised as her own. Margaret enjoyed to crochet, cross stitch, knitting and tatting, she also love to play bridge. She was the president of Friends and Neighbors of Panther Valley from 1982-1985.
She is survived by three sons, Peter & Mary Hoffman, Hackettstown, NJ; Richard & Danuta Hoffman, St. Charles, ILL; Robert Hoffman, VA; four daughters, Diane & James Niland; Hackettstown, NJ; Kathleen Melucci, Mullica Hill, NJ; Margaret Hoffman, Miami, FL; Elizabeth & David Sherpey, Hackettstown, NJ 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Loucks.
A memorial service will be held 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. Interment will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery.
