Jeanette graduated from Dickerson High School of Jersey City.
During the late 1960s she was a founding member of the Shore Hills Country
Club in Landing and served on various Roxbury Township boards. She had
served as president of the Roxbury High School PTA and trustee for the
Roxbury League Women Voters. She was a teacher/director of the United
Methodist Church of Lake Hopatcong Vacation Bible School. She had hosted a
TV program on Morris Cablevision in 1975 and was listed in the 10th edition of
"Who's Who of American Women".
She was a reporter for the Daily Advance of Dover (1960-63), a bureau chief for
the NJ Herald of Newton (1963-68), assistant editor of the West Morris Star
Journal (1968-70) and owner-editor of The Regional Weekly News of Whippany
during the 1970s. She was a member of the New Jersey and Morris County
press associations and served as president of the New Jersey Drama Critics
Association in 1975-77. She was employed by St. Clare's Hospital in Denville in
admitting and later the research and development department for over 25 years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Sr., in 2014 and a
son, Carl, in 1972. She is survived by her children, Beverly, William, Peter,
Karen, Ralph Jr., seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three
sisters.
She was an avid reader of mystery and adventure books.
