Dana G. Cratch, age 82, of Washington Township formerly of Oxford Furnace, NJ - 25 years, Watchung, NJ, and Burlington, NC, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Heath Village of Hackettstown, NJ. Mr. Cratch was born August 7, 1930 in Durham, NC. He is the son of the late Hubert E. and the late Juanita (Apperson) Cratch. Dana was also predeceased by a step-daughter; Robin Edythe Goellner. He was married to Grace nee-Reiter Goellner Cratch.
He retired from Lucent Technologies Formerly AT&T, Liberty Corner, NJ as a Systems Analyst in 1988 after 38 years of service. Dana was an avid reader and a scholarly bible student. He was a past president of the Warren County Historical Society; also sat on the Warren County Cultural Heritage Commission and served on the Planning Board of Oxford Furnace, NJ for numerous years; he was also originator of the Oxford Festival. Dana enjoyed riding motorcycles and was still riding in his final year.
He is survived by his wife: Grace (Reiter) Goellner Cratch, 6 sons; William Daniel Cratch, Robert Cratch and wife Suzanne, Jason Cratch, Craig Goellner and wife Jan, Keith Goellner, Glenn Goellner and wife Jane; 1 brother of Zan Cratch; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 4 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Heath Village, 430 Schooley's Mountain Road, Washington Township, NJ Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Cremation private.
