To the entire Hazen family, there are no words to express our sorrow at the loss of your beloved Phil. Betty, we will cherish the memories of good times spent with you and Phil at area fairs, Jacktown Steam Engine shows, and especially our adventurous trips with you to Amish Country. Together you and Phil showed everyone how to really live. We wish you much peace, Betty, knowing that you and Phil lived the ultimate love story.

Who was Philip J Hazen. As I spoke to the chaplain from Quinlan the other day, He asked who is this man to you? I replied 45 years ago, I thought he was a mean man and chased me away from his farm. I stated I was like a bad habbit he could not rid. The next 45 years this man treated me as family. He was an outstanding person that I was glad he let me hang around. Phil had many shoes to fill. He was known as "the old man","cowboy", "junior", "boss" and most of all "PAP" in which he proudly wore "hands down best pap around". All of these roles he was the best all around!! I will miss him dearly, but have all the memories of him. You don't need to get ready for work anymore Phil!
