James D. Stocker of Hackettstown, NJ died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. He was 90 years old.  James was born on May 11, 1929 in Easton, PA. He is the son of the late Frank Stocker and the late Esther (Blondell) Stocker.

James served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948.

James was a former business owner and considered a 'jack of all trades' by his family and friends. He loved animals, was a big fan of country western music and learned to play guitar later in life.

James is survived by his wife Ellen (Holley) Stocker, son Thomas (Bonnie) Stocker, his daughters  Pamela (William) Stanton, Barbara (Tim) Poff, Sherry (Marcus) Stocker and, stepdaughters Jacqueline (Robert) Chastain and Karen Anne (Mark) Scalfani as well as many grandchildren and great-granchildren.  He was preceded in death by sons, James and Timothy.  

A memorial service will be held 11:00am on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.
