Charles F Eichler, age 80, of Hackettstown died Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Hackettstown, N.J. Charles was born July 5, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ. He is the son of the late John and the late Carrie (Bauer) Eichler. He married Ellen McGarvey. He served in the Air Force during peace time from 1955 to 1959. He was previously employed at Newark Airport as an aircraft mechanic. He is survived by: his wife Ellen (McGarvey) Eichler; one son, Charles and his wife Gwen Eichler; one daughter, Margaret Redmond and her husband Edward; one brother, Raymond and his wife Florence Eichler; one sister, Joan Rogers; and three grandsons. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00am on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, 59 Spring Lane, Long Valley, NJ with Father Joseph Goode officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown NJ 07840 immediately following the funeral mass. Calling hours will be Friday, October 14, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840. Hello Charlie, Sorry to hear sad demise of your Father. Father is our backbone and a hero starting from our birth. He is a never replaceable and forgettable person that one could ever had. I now how hard and painful this time is for you and your family. I pray to Lord to strengthen you and family for this hard time to cope up with. RIP
