Mildred Marie Young, 93, died 1/21/2012 in Crestwood, Will's Point Tx. Mildred lived in Hackettstown, NJ most of her life and was born in Independence Township, NJ on 6/23/1918.

Marie was the wife of the Late Earl Thomas Young (May 1995). Marie met her husband in high school and married in May 1938 and were inseperable.

Marie was the daughter of the late William and Maude(Ditler) Sutton. When her mother died in 1918 she was raised by her father and stepmother, Beula Sutton.

Marie is survived by 1 Daughter: Jo Ann Huser, Wills Point, TX., Godmother to Nancy Globe Miller, Grandmother to Richard Rogers Jr., Jacqueline Kurnath, Pamela Rafalko, Daniel Rogers, Lisa Young and Terry Young, Great Grandmother to 14 wonderful Great Grandchildren, Maries is predeceased by 1 Son- Thomas Young; 1 Brother-Charles Sutton; 1 Sister: Margaret Sutton Wheeler Searles and 1 Step Brother: Roland Bull.

Marie worked at the East Orange Hosiery in Hackettstown, NJ after she graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1936.

Marie was a homemaker who assisted her husband (a builder) with finishing touches of projects, painting, staining and choosing flooring. They converted an army bus into a home on wheels and traveled to 49 of the 50 states, including Alaska. They also traveled through much of Canada and British Columbia. Marie was a life member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was active as a Sunday School teacher, with the church bazaar and in the Thrift Store to name a few. She was also a member of the US Army Observers.

Services: 12:00 Noon following the visitation at Cochran Funeral Home.

In Lieu of Flowers; Memorials may be sent to either Trinity United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Interment: Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840.
