He was employed by MVE Pharmacy, Andover, NJ as a Production Leader. Matthew enjoyed fishing, bike riding, snowboarding and archery, he had a great love of the outdoors. He was a former boy scout and in high school he liked to play football, baseball and basketball.
He is survived by ; his parents; David P. and Lisa A. (Baldwin) Mullikin, 1 brother; Andrew Mullikin and his wife Nicole, 1 nephew; Taylor Matthew Mullikin, his maternal grandmother; Shirley (Bakker) Baldwin, uncle; Ray F. Baldwin and family of Bushkill, PA; uncle; Steven E. Baldwin and family of Hackettstown, NJ; aunt; Pamela Snyder and family of Vienna, NJ, uncle; Dr. Kevin Baldwin and family of Cobleskill, NY, uncle; Ronald Baldwin and family of Waverly, NY, uncle; Donald Mullikin and family of California, uncle; Chauncey Mullikin and family of Bangor, PA, uncle; Richard Mullikin and family of Massachusetts, aunt; Dolores “Dody” Markle and family of Stewartsville, NJ, uncle: Burdette “Pete” Mullikin of Washington, NJ, aunt; Sally Loebsack and family of Easton, PA, uncle; Dwayne Edward Mullikin and family of Bangor, PA, uncle; Phillip Sortaore and family of Tampa, FL and aunt; Linda Wildrick of Bangor, PA, uncle; Ronald Sortore and family of Florida..
Predeceased by his maternal grandfather; Ray F. Baldwin, Sr., paternal grandparents; Daniel,Sr. and Ester Pauline (Thomkins) Mullikin, aunt; Betty Thomkins, uncle; Ronald Mullikin, uncle, Daniel F. Mullikin, Jr., uncle, William Mullikin.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Friday, February 19 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Harry Stolicker officiating. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows following services.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 18 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
For those desiring donations may be made to the Emmanuel Bible Church, 3 Pleasant Grove Road, Schooley's Mountain, NJ 07870 or to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Matthew.

Mulli, you were a light of happiness and laughter shining on everyone who surrounded you - no matter what. I wish we had kept in touch more after high school, but I always considered you a great friend. You always knew how to cheer others up, regardless of the circumstance. I'll never forget riding around rapping and having so much fun with you and the rest of the crew. I'll never forget the laughter and joy you brought to us. And most of all, I'll never forget you and your smile. I am thinking of your parents, Andrew, and the rest of your family and friends who I know loved you so much. I hope that with time, their pain will ease and the memories of you will wrap them in comfort.

David, Lisa, and Andrew, Mulli was one of the most special, caring, genuine person I have ever met. He truly cared for everyone around him. I hope you always know you raised a wonderful man. He was always the birightest energy in the room and he was someone everyone wanted to be around. No one could brighten up your day like Mulli. His love and light he put out in the world everyday and his love for his family is a true reflection on the wonderful parents he has and how well he was raised. I will never forget the happiness he brought to my family and I. We will always cherish the non stop laughs and wonderful person he was. He will forever be missed by all those who knew him. God truly did gain an angel in Mulli.

Mullie you were truley one of the best friends I ever had growing up. My best memories were with you and Cassandra when the 3 of us were inseparable. I wish I could rewind time to have some of those

Matt, this seems like a dream, actually a horrible nightmare that can never be escaped. You were a beautiful soul with the biggest heart. you had the ability to walk in and light up the entire room with just your smile or laugh. to say you will be missed is an understatement. you have left this earth, but not our hearts. Dave and Lisa, while I didn't really know either of you, I loved your son. For a long time he was a constant fixture in my home. He was a good boy with a kind heart and a gentle soul. Always funny, helpful and respectful...a true joy to be around. You can be proud of the man he became. I know there is nothing that can be said to ease your pain, but please accept these words as an expression of my sympathy and be somewhat consoled in knowing that the light that shined within your son has touched us all.

Mulli, You always knew how to put a smile on my face. You had the gift of putting everyone around you in a good mood. You were my fishing buddy, my hunting partner, (we didn't do very well in that department.. Haha) we did bow shoots, and snowboarding. Almost every hobby I have we did together. You were there if I needed a hand doing anything around the house. You were there if my mother needed help shoveling or anything. You were family to us. We made a lot of great memories buddy. You were the best friend I ever had kid. I just wish I was a better friend to you these past few months. I'm sorry I wasn't. I love you brother.
Dave, Lisa, and Andrew- I'm praying God gives you guys the strength to get through this. Matt loved you guys so much. He was never embarrassed to let his buddies know it. He was his mothers little baby. I'm so so sorry you guys have to go through this. Love to you all

...All my heart feels for the Mullikin family at this time. It is with the greatest sympathy that I offer my condolences. I never met Matt and am only blessed to know Andrew through Nicole(and Taylor) and in turn blessed to know them through my nephew, Kyle Buchta, who passed away in 2012.I know the love you all have for each other will get you through this tragedy, I'm just so sorry for your pain. Matt is irreplaceable, the loss immeasurable but so is the love.
