My deepest sympathy. Karen was not only my manager, but my friend. She was there when I needed her through my most difficult times. From the first time we spoke, I was interviewing for a job for her. Karen said everything is fine but if you want this position you need to make me laugh. This was something we had between us and a few people knew the details, but anyway I got the job and I made her laugh, but not as much as she keeps me laughing, smiling when I think of her. Even now as I’m writing this I can see her smiling, laughing, and saying “Hey Kid Oh what’s up”, with something nice to say. I do miss her and always will. Karen I will keep you in my prayers and in my heart. Shawn

Aunt Karen. That is how my nephews and my son, will always fondly remember you. And I will always remember how you called me "Lizzy," even though I was 52 years old! You will always be my sisters' best friend, and an honorary family member. Our hearts are broken. God Blesss the Johanson Family.

I met Karen at Alcatel-Lucent and I have known her for all the years she has worked there. She was such an upbeat and happy person even when she was diagnosed. God took a good one when he chose her. May He help you though this most difficult time. Rest In Peace Sweet Karen

You were my little "peanut" cousin blessed with boundless energy and a joy for life who grew into a strong, caring woman who touched everyone she met with her love and generosity. You will be greatly missed by all of us, and I know that heaven is rejoicing in having you there as its newest angel. God bless you, Karen, and may you rest in peace.
