He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to1956, where he was honorably discharged. Tom was later employed by State Of New York as a Long Shoreman and was a member of the NY Long Shoreman Union. Thomas was loved and adored by many, he was considered to be an angel on earth, he was a generous and respected man of both character and honor.
He is survived by his beloved cousin, whom was considered to be a son; Sal Madonna and wife Colleen, a devoted and loving niece; Elizabeth Parlati-Cornett and her husband Charles, a nephew; Anthony Parlati and wife Cheryl, 1 great niece; Emily Cornett, 2 great nephews; Edward and Nicholas Parlati, , cousins: Janet Bejarano and companion Laurie VanNess, Dorothy Madonna, Evelyn Lucido and Angie Abromitis, Anthony Madonna and companion Erin McGall and Michael Madonna and fiancé Amanda Bentler, and 1 sister in law; Sharron Parlati, the family would also like to acknowledge the extended family of Paragon Village whom they are eternally grateful to for the care and love they showed Thomas.
Visitation will be held on March 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Cochran funeral home, 905 High Street Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
A funeral service will be held on March 8, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home with Father David Pekola of St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown officiating.
Cremation is private.
