William "Bill" Donald Hart

Bill was born June 29, 1943 in Newton, NJ to the late Donald Praegar Hart and Dorothy (Rice) Hart.
He graduated from Hackettstown High School in June 1961 and then from Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College). On June 26, 1965 William married the love of his whole life, Carol Babette Knapp.
Bill was an English and Theater educator. Bill was employed by North Warren Regional High School in Blairstown, New Jersey from 1965 until retiring in 1994. With over 29 years of dedicated teaching to provide a superior education to his students.
During his retirement years Bill loved reading, gardening, his many pets, vacationing, spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol. His two sons, Darrell and his wife Michelle of Belvidere; Chris and his wife Ann-Jennifer of Hackettstown. Two brothers, Dale (Betsy) of Hackettstown and Gary (Carol) of Murrells Inlet, SC. Six grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Owen and Sophie, Juliet and Zoe Tuggle. Three sister-in-laws, Diane (Alan) Thorn; Sally (David) Spencer and Beth Knapp. Four nieces, four nephews, four great nephews and seven great nieces. Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 11am – 3 pm on Saturday, July 29 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street Hackettstown. Reverend Donald Gebhard will be officiating the celebration of life following the visitation. Private cremation will be held following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Arizona Humane Society, 2460 W. Happy Valley Road, Ste. 1149, Phoenix, AZ 85085 in memory of Bill.
