Stephen Bilobram
Died: Feb 18, 2017
Born to Nicolas Bilobram and Julia Kozak in the small village of Dowhomostyska, Ukraine, he was orphaned at age 2 and lived outside the city of Lvov until he was 18.
In 1939 he was captured by the Nazis and forced to work in a labor camp for six years. After being liberated in 1945 he became a Displaced Person and was allowed to emigrate to England. There he met his wife Margaret Wiedermann and worked in a textile factory.
In 1951 he was granted permission to come to the United States with his family. He became an American citizen in 1956.
Stephen worked as a machinist at Standard Tool Manufacturing Company in Lyndhurst, NJ for over 30 years.
He enjoyed wine making, gardening and deep sea fishing.
He was a devout parishioner of St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vailsburg, NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret, his daughters Tamara Taylor and Sylvia Bilobram, and his granddaughters Caitlin and Brynn Taylor.
