Evelyn G. Beemer, age 88, of Hackettstown died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Brookmont Healthcare Center, Effort, PA. Evelyn was born November 14, 1924 in Sussex, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Gladys (Russell) Leek. She was predeceased by her husband, Late Robert J. Beemer, Sr. on May 18, 2011.
She was employed by Hackettstown Regional Medical Center as a Switchboard Operator.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hackettstown, NJ; Evelyn also was a volunteer at the Trinity Thrift Shop and her family was everything to her.
She is survived by sons Robert J., Jr. & Rose Beemer; Gary & Elvira Beemer; daughters Joyce & Tom Kenny; Brenda & Jeff Bodjack; and Shirley Beemer; brother, Frank & Roit Leek; sisters; Shirley Suiter and Lila Minervino; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. Burial will be in North Hardyston Cemetery, Sussex.
Calling hours will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.
