The family of Bob Gaugler: our prayers and condolences. Although you probably don't know me, i knew Bob when his first assignment was in Troop "C". I was then the Trooper Coach, for newer Troopers, I don't remember his badge #(mine was #1650)and my job(then) was to get the troopers ready for duty as road troopers(our primary assignment). and our frienship continued on for many yrs. I kind of lost contact with Bob when he transferred to Division Hgts. I retired(28 yrs) in 1985. It's a great feeling to have known Bob, one of the better fellow troopers. rest in peace, my friend.

Bob was a natural leader, he never had to tell us he was our boss. Always supportive, and willing to go out on the street to get the job done. I never saw him have a bad day....always a smile & a laugh. He will be missed by many!

Captain Bob You were one of the toughest and most sincere people I have ever met in my life. To be able to master the balancing act of those traits in today’s world is not an easy one but to you it came easy, more or less second nature. You leave behind a legacy with your remarkable career, beautiful family and close group of friends. You will never be forgotten and every time I tell a story about you it will be with a smile on my face. I feel honored to have been able to share time with you. Jason and Dina Marchioni

Bob was a leader, a mentor and a true friend to all those members of the State Police family who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him. I learned so much from Bob over the years we worked together. We remained in touch after his retirement and shared many stories and good times socially. I will miss him deeply and extend my deepest condolences to Lynn, Bob Jr. and family.
