 Charles Barnes, age 83, of Newtonville, NJ died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at home.  Mr. Barnes was born May 2, 1934 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He is the son of the late James and Ruth (Johnson) Barnes. 

He is survived by a cousin, Eileen Stokes.

Cremation was private

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 59 Spring Lane,  Long Valley, NJ 07853 on November 17, 2017 at 10:30 am.

Burial of ashes will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11 am.
