The years have flown by. It still feels like just yesterday we were building forts in the cornfield, camping at the "V" stream, throwing snowballs at cars...it feels like it was just yesterday and we were kids, all of us...Big Bird, Eggs, Butch, Smitty, Blockhead, Nitch, Ray Rod, Hole, and Snuffy. We were brothers, all of us. Sometimes fighting, sometimes mad at each other, but always having each others backs. As we grew up we went in different directions, but always remained brothers...and so we always will be. I will miss you my friend, but I know someday we will see each other again and talk about when we were young and how we were brothers together. RIP.

To our family, the Snovers, Frank was a gem. His beautiful smile and gentle kind spirit will be missed terribly. Growing up together, the memories of his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face is how I will remember him. We were blessed to have lived next door all those years and I just keep reminding myself that Frank had quite a welcoming committee when he arrived in heaven. I can see him dancing on the streets of gold, and we know he loved to dance!! My love to all. We will see him again, but the loss is felt deeply... although I can't be there, you are all in my thoughts and prayers......

I've known Frank since I was a kid. We hung out with each other in the eighties, I worked with him at M&M's until 2009. He was a great guy, always fun to be with. I will miss him terribly, he passed way too young. He's in a better place now. RIP Frank.

My brother in Law, Frank Snover Sr,.... passed away yesterday in New Jersey... and things felt very dark for me... but as George Carlin once said, "the darkness will be followed by widely scattered light".... Frank brought a lot of joy and laughter into my life in particular.... I remember the year he and my sister visited me in Idaho, about 9 months before my nephew Frank Snover Jr was born... we spent a week that summer camping and driving around the Sawtooth Mountains in my yellow, 67 bug. We sat in natural hot springs, sat next to campfires late into the night... the theme of that week was, "we're always thinking, aren't we?".... which was funny, because it was the one thing that we were never doing. We would do something completely stupid, and Frank would turn and say..."Hey Neal, we're always thinking, aren't we?" ....and we would burst into peals of uncontrollable laughter...again and again.
.. but more than the laughter....Frank understood love and family..... he told me that week, late one night, as we sat near the embers of our fire that....that I was his brother now. This was followed by a great bear hug....
Those words and that crushing hug, came to me at the exact time in my life that I needed it. Later, Frank told me that his amazing son, that I think he pretty much gets the major credit for raising him into an intact, healthy, responsible adult,(and my esteemed nephew Frank Jr), very likely began his life in this world at Redfish Lake... a beautiful lake where we had fished for a few days, catching nothing at all, losing our lures, where about every 12 minutes of nt catching fish, Frank would ask me again..."are you really sure there are ANY FISH in THIS LAKE?"" .... To which I probably would say something like, "well....I thought there were, and all the travel guides said there were, but you've got me 'really thinking now"....
Over the years Frank and I rarely saw each other mostly due to geographical distance, but whenever we did meet, it was like no time had passed at all....
At his son's wedding a few years ago, he had to give the toast. He was clearly nervous and he asked me for advice about what to say.... I told him, "just be you man.... because you're one of the greatest guys I know.... and keep it short." Which turned out to be no problem for him at all....especially the "keeping it short part". (I read from another friend last night, that Frank once pulled a slice of burnt toast out of his pocket in a similar situation!)
Frank was a man's man, and really a man of few words. But when Frank did speak, the things he had to say were worth listening to. He gave me personal advice over the years that always panned out well. I would say, the long and short of his advice was always, "be responsible, and step up to the plate, my friend." He was never wrong and he lived his life that way. Frank, I will miss you greatly.... and the world is a slightly sadder, meaner place now that you're gone. I love you buddy..I wish I could have said good bye and told you all of this in person....but if wishes were fishes at Redfish Lake....well..... "we're always thinking, aren't we?"

I will miss you deeply. We had a special friendship from the day I met you in 1980. We had many great times and also some bad times that only you & I know. Best Man in my second marriage with the same women! Remember the toast you gave us. You pulled out a piece of burnt toast from you suit jacket. Only you could get away with that. So many memories, only if I could remember them all. To my Best Friend, Brother I will miss you deeply. I will definitely not miss your calls about how to find a show on your TV Guide with your Comcast remote. Like I told you then call me anytime. If you need to call me from your resting place send me a signal. I will respond. R.I.P. Brother!!!!
