Joanie, my long lost cousin. I haven't seen Joan in 45 years. We used to write to each other as kids. I remember I spent a week in New Jersey with Janet, Dean, Daren and David. We had ice cream and went to a Philly's game. She was really sweet and very beautiful. I remember she was in a beauty pageant. We grew up and went our separate ways. I knew she'd married and had kids and last I heard she was doing well. This is a shock because we are the same age. I recently reconnected with another cousin Jay, on Facebook and he gave me the news. Our family has lost touch and Facebook has been a valuable tool in reconnecting and keeping in touch. I always thought we would reconnect some day. I guess I will have to wait until we meet again in the hereafter. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her loved ones.

I am in disbelief and saddened of the passing of Joanie. I worked with Joanie at M&M/Mars. I was in A/R and she was in the credit dept.(S&F). I will Never forget her great personality and infectious smile. She was one of the first to hold my Samantha when I came in from maternity leave. She was one of the friendliest people I knew at Mars! Prayers to her parents and her sons and family. God Bless you Joanie. May you rest in Gods hands.

Shocked to hear of Joanie passing. Last i saw her was at HHS, i always was in awe of her. She had the prettiest skin and that gorgeous hair, whether straight or in a pony tail playing field hockey. Over 35 years ago and she still rocked that unforgettable smile. Hugs, strength and prayers to your family and friends.

To the Henriksen and Howie Family. My heart is breaking for your loss and for our loss, as well. I will pray for God to give you strength and courage during this sorrowful time. She will be missed terribly, but I will always cherish the friendship we shared and the thousands of laughs we had together. What can I say about Joan. She lit up a room. As if her outer beauty wasn't enough, her inner beauty was tenfold. She was so genuinely sweet. Our friendship began immediately when I started at M&M 28 years ago. I was lucky enough to sit right next to her and experience her kindness and craziness everyday. Oh boy did we have a lot of laughs. This may sound like a cliche, but it is true, heaven does have another awesome angel up there. Even though, she was taken from us too soon, we were all lucky to have had her in our lives. If our luck continues she will be looking down on us and watching over us, since we all know how caring a person she was. I can't believe I am saying was. I love you, Joanie, and memories of you and the good times will always be with me. RIP until we meet again.....
