John Alden Haines, age 62, Mansfield Township, formerly of Branchburg and Iselin, NJ where he grew up, died suddenly Friday, September 4, 2015 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Mr. Haines was born December 16, 1952 in Jersey City, NJ. He is the son of Ann (Mastrogiovanni) Haines and the late John L. Haines. He was currently employed as a School Bus Driver by First Student, Hampton, NJ. John previously was employed by the Newark Star Ledger and retired from Sun America. He was an avid Yankees fan who traveled to many of the different stadiums to support his team. Most of all John loved his family and his faith, he found much comfort in listening to "Truth for Life" every morning before starting his day. He is survived by his wife: Victoria (Kinney) Haines, his son; Alexander Haines, his mother; Ann (Mastrogiovanni) Haines, his brother; Robert Haines and wife Barbara Ann, 1 brother in law; Frank Kinney, 3 nephews, Brad Kinney, Tyler Kinney and wife Nicolle, Davis Haines; 2 nieces; Nicole and Julia Haines, 1 great niece; Riley Kinney. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 9 at St. Theodore R. C. Church, 855 Route 57, Port Murray, NJ with Father Anthony officiating. Cremation is private. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 11 am - 1 pm and 6pm - 9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. For those desiring donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of John

Vickie,Alex. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of John. I remember fondly the many, many conversations we had during all those years of baseball. Vickie, Alex...We are so so Very sorry for the lost of John. Not Right. The only thing that makes me feel somewhat better is what God's word the Bible says about the Future is found in the John 5:28,29...John 3:16 and one more Please...Rev 21:4. One day read Please.
