Agnes DiMaio, age 88, of Hackettstown died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna, NJ. Agnes was born November 2, 1929 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Amena (Mackoujy) Homay.
Agnes was pre deceased in death by her Husband Samuel DiMaio, Sr, 1 son Anthony, 4 brothers, John, George, Edward, Charles, and by 3 sisters, Anna, Leona, and Minerva. She is survived by 2 sons, Samuel DiMaio Jr., Michael DiMaio, and his wife Migdalia. Elizabeth N Myers, age 98, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
Absent from the body, present with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter L. Myers and the daughter of the late Benjamin and Hilda (Nehring) Boonstra. She was born in Paterson, NJ, but lived in Wayne, NJ most of her life. She currently resided at the House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by brothers, Rudolph Boonstra and Arnold Boonstra and a sister Violet Feltz. She graduated from central High School, Paterson, NJ. She also graduated from the Hawthorne Gospel Church Evening Bible School. She worked for Weny Bros. & Storms Co., New York Life Ins. Co and Citizens Trust Co., Paterson, NJ She was a member of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Paterson, NJ and served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Missionary Fellowship. She also attended the Hawthorne Gospel Church, Hawthorne, NJ. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, June 22 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. John Francis Boyle, age 82, of Hackettstown, NJ formerly of Fort Lee, NJ died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Home in Hackettstown, NJ with his family by his side. Mr. Boyle was born November 23, 1935 in Weehawken, NJ. He was the son of the John Boyle Sr and Matilda Maire Boyle.
He was employed by AT&T International of Basking, NJ as a Telecommunications Engineer for many years. John was a very generous, hardworking and dedicated husband and father. He was a dedicated family man and a JETS fan for life. Mr. Boyle loved gardening and visiting the Jersey Shore. He is survived by his loving wife: Beatrice Marcus Boyle, his cherished children, Linda Boyle Medina (spouse Douglass) and Glen John Boyle (Spouse Karen) and sister Patricia Boyle Bernabeo (Spouse Anthony). Additionally survived by Grand children Miranda, Samuel, Erin and Evan. And daughter of his heart Leigh Marshall Parsons and children Hassey and Colton. Sharla Jeanne Davis passed away on Thursday, May 31st, at the age of 51. She was born in Conroe, Texas on January 13th, 1967, and has lived in Hackettstown for much of the past 25 years. She had devoted her entire adult life to caring for her children and family. Her love of God, music, and family defined her. She lived with her beloved life partner, Rich, where she helped raise her children and step-children. Along with Rich, she is also survived by her 4 children Joshua, Colin, Rachel, and their father Kurt, her son Gavin, and her step-children Jeffrey, Zachary and Brittany. Sharla was preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Jones, as well as her sister Melissa. She is survived by her sister Sharon, sister Debbie, as well as many nephews, nieces, and her beloved friends. A remembrance of Sharla's life will be held at Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, June 4th, from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. Funeral services will also be held a Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5th, at 10 AM. Sharla cared for everyone around her and put their needs before her own. She will be greatly missed, and the loving impact she made on people’s lives will stay within us all forever.
