Ellen M. Eichler, age 77, of Hackettstown died Monday, March 13, 2017 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Ellen was born July 23, 1939 in Bayonne, NJ. She is the daughter of Patrick and Margaret (Harley) McGarvey. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Eichler, her brothers, James, John, Denis and Patrick McGarvey and a sister, Mary O'Donnell.
Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Charles and his wife Gwen, her daughter, Margaret Redmond and her husband Edward, a brother, Dan McGarvey, 3 grandsons, Alex, Nick and Tyler.
A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 18 at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, 59 Spring Lane, Long Valley, NJ with Rev. Msgr. Joseph Goode officiating.
**Note: The family requests that friends please meet at the church on Saturday morning.
Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown following the mass.
Visitation will be Friday, March 17 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
