Clifford M. Hartman, 78, of Hackettstown, NJ, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Born April 13, 1937 in Lewistown, PA, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hartman.

Clifford and his beloved, late wife, Linda Lou, lived in Hackettstown since 1986 coming from Budd Lake, NJ. From 1962 to 1988, Mr. Hartman worked for AT&T as a corporate supervisor. In addition to his employment at  AT&T, Clifford also worked for Columbia Gas Corporation from 1988 to 1993, Real Estate Sales from 1975 to 1988 and last worked at the Route 517 Quick Check in Hackettstown.

Mr. Hartman proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962. While his family was most important him, he made time to give back to his community by serving in the Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. since 1955 and coached little league baseball & basketball from 1973 -1986. His interest and hobbies over the years have included Fishing, Collecting Baseball Cards, Antiquing, Trips to Atlantic City and playing Poker with his friends. Of all these things, his #1 passion was being with and loving his Grandchildren.

Mr. Hartman is survived by two sons; Clifford M. “Monty” Hartman, Jr. and his wife Annette & Todd H. Hartman and his wife Erica, both of Hackettstown. Three brothers; John “Jack” Hartman & William Hartman, both of Lewistown, PA & Kermit Hartman of Winchester, KY. Four loving grandchildren; Lucas, Logan, Jaylin & Ryleigh. Clifford’s loving wife, Linda Lou died in 2002.

Visitation will be Friday, 5-22-15 from 4pm to 8pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. A 10:30am Funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, 5-23-15. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, 45 Glen Cove Road, Greenvale, NY, 11548 or to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183 in memory of Clifford. Sad to hear of Cliff's passing. He was always our "answer man" at Quick Chek. He was knowledgeable on any subject.
