Elizabeth Cook, age 68, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. Elizabeth was born in Manhattan, NY and moved from East Stroudsburg, PA to Florida in 2002 last residing in Palmetto, Fl. She was retired from the J.C. Penny Corporation where she worked for over 15 years selling clothing and fine jewelry in stores in PA and FL. She loved spending time in the outdoors at the beach, shopping and reading, especially Danielle Steele novels. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and Weight Watchers.
She is predeceased by her son-Donald J. Cook, Jr.; brother Philip Schwartz and sisters Winifred Gilbert and Deborah Roll.
Her survivors include: her loving husband of 46 years, Don; Son-Shaun (Bridget) Cook of Auburndale, FL; Daughter-Dawn (Brad) Smith, of Port Murray, NJ; Sisters-Sarah Cannella of Reynoldsburg, OH; Helene Bernander and Rosella Dalton of Bellville, TX; Naomi Spicer of Dickerson, TX; and her grandson, Christopher Smith.
There will be a celebration of Elizabeth's life on Saturday, May 12th at 10:30 AM with a Memorial Service at 12:30 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St. (County Road Rt. 517), Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
